PROJECT
TABITHA
The TABITHA PROJECT
A fundraising project to fund missions to support the Orphans, the widow and missionaries here and in Africa.
SUPPORTING OUR MISSIONS
We use the draw of fashion to raise awareness and support for the indigent and disadvantaged people in West Africa. Like previous years, last year’s proceeds from the Tabitha project were distributed to a leprosarium in Accra, aid missionaries who focused on this cause in Niger and Cameroon.
FOR THE ORPHANS, THE WIDOW, IN GHANA, TOGO & BEYOND
Proceeds from this year’s edition will benefit CEBHED Orphanage in TOGO, God Cares Ministries for Orphans and Widows in Ghana.
The first charitable line of clothing designed distributed to help the poor, orphan, widow is credited to a virtuous saint called Tabitha or Dorcas in Acts 9:36-43 NKJV
Additionally, our fashion event provides a niche community service that creates awareness and exposure to African fashion designers both here in the USA and at home in Africa.
FOCUSING ON THE MISSIONS
Some of our presenters source the entirety of their collections directly from their home countries in Africa, thus creating financial and economic empowerment which is the hallmark of Christ’s Oasis Ministries, founder of this project.
